Sanitation Technician

Recruiting immediately for  Sanitation Technician positions on both the swing and night shifts.

Applicants must highlight in their cover letter previous experience as a Sanitation Technician in a food service production plant, and provide specific information on how they meet specific requirements listed below to be considered for this position.  Candidates must also submit a current resume.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Candidates selected will be required to work on Saturdays, performing deep cleaning on plant equipment. This is a requirement for Sanitation Technician positions. Applicants who are unable to commit to working Saturdays will not be considered for this position.

Drug Screen will be required of candidate selected for position.

Additional Information:  Employer participates in E-Verify program.  Candidate selected for position will be required to have employment eligibility verified through E-Verify.

Education Required:  High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

1)      Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;

2)      Must have reliable transportation;

3)      Strong work ethic, including the ability to report to work on time for scheduled shifts;

4)      Must have an excellent attendance record;

5)      Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly during shift;

6)      Must be able to follow safety rules;

7)      Ability to accurately record data;

8)      Be a team player willing to perform additional duties as required;

9)      Ability to work in extremely hot and cold environments;

10)   Must be able to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS);

11)   Ability to strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP);

12)  Some mechanical aptitude to be able to assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment prior to sanitizing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sanitation Technicians duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

1)      Cleaning and sanitizing the plant to ensure sanitary conditions at all times.  Cleaning duties include sweeping, shoveling, and wiping down equipment and panels;

2)      Moving and dismantling equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization;

3)      Using a pressure washer several hours a day;

4)      Performing weekend deep cleaning on all equipment in the plant;

5)      Strictly adhering and following all Sanitary Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).

Hours:  Swing or Nights.   Weekend work (specifically on Saturdays) is required.

Pay Rate:  $12.00 PH.  Pay increase after successful completion of training period.

Benefits:  Medical, dental, and vision benefits will be offered prior to 90 days of continuous employment.  Paid Time Off (PTO) will be front loaded on the 92st day of employment.  401K plan with limited matching contributions, holiday pay and profit sharing will be available to candidate selected following completion of one year of full-time continuous employment.
